Liquid Lounge @ The CT Science Center

One of our favorite recurring events is the CT Science Center's Liquid Lounge. Never been? O.k., picture this: three stories, filled with everything awesome you would expect out of a first rate science museum then add three bars, DJs, live music, and about 1500 beautiful guests and you get Liquid Lounge. It's truly a recipe for one amazing time to be had. So for the third time this year (and last until November apparently) we headed downtown to party and get our learnin' on.

Here's some pictures for you:

I know it looks like someone is goosing the guy on the left but I swear that wasn't the case.

The guy on the left was real eager to have my picture taken with him and the DJ...not so much the DJ. I fear we may have interrupted his 'flow'...whoops!

These folks were really nice and really eager to take a picture with me. They also kept talking about the 'munchies'. I'm totally expecting to see them at the Phish concert later this week...

There must be something about alcohol + science that get the ladies frisky. There were an awful lot of beautiful women trying to lay one on ol' Chet here. Don't believe me? Check out the next batch of photos. (Let me preface what you are about to see with...Who's Your Daddy!?!)

I swear I'm not trying to look down her shirt...just a bad camera angle...I swear...

My favorite part of this photo is not the kiss from a pretty girl...no, no, it's the creepy pimp-like look her male companion is giving the camera. It screams, 'wanna watch?' (Anybody else feel a little dirty after looking at this photo?)

I'm not in this photo but I felt compelled to include it. I mean, come on, it's a pirate surrounded by three gorgeous women. It speaks for itself really...

Ah, Liquid Lounge, your awesomeness know no bounds. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks again to the CT Science Center for having us out. Until my next post kids, I'll see you on the scene!

Tailgating at the Dave Matthews concert

Anyone who knows Connecticut, especially Hartford knows what a big deal it is when the Dave Matthews Band comes to town. Personally I never saw the reason why people would go so nuts for this band that they would actually riot in the streets, especially being no other market in the U.S. of A. ever had riots for/after Dave Matthews that I'm aware of but, the youth of CT and the surrounding drivable distances love them some DMB.

I had a chance to experience my first actual CT right of passage a couple weeks ago when I attended the DMB Tailgate (that's right, it's such a big deal that it gets capitalized). Apparently about 90% of the people we met either a) didn't have tickets and were there to just get drunk or b) had tickets but won't remember the show anyway because they were so drunk. We did meet some pretty cool people though (and not all of them were drunk). Here's some photos we took of me and some DMB fans:

I was very thankful I found this guy because for a red hot second I lost my friends. He was very tall and very helpful. (Do you have any idea how frightening it is to be a disembodied head in a large crowd of strangers!)

I don't remember playing baseball at all, but the girl on the right kept telling me I was "safe". Who am I to argue with pretty girls.

I loved hanging out with these guys in that big comfy chair. It was very relaxing even with all the craziness going on around us...then I noticed the bottle to the left looked like it was someones pee bottle so I politely excused myself...

That's right, we actually found a group of cats hanging out in an old VW bus. They invited me to go camping with them after the show but said something about a 'border run' and got really nervous...so I again politely excused myself...

The guy on the left is one of our MC/Street team people. His name is Dragan. Do you like his yellow sweater? Despite the fact that it was 100 degrees out he wore a bright yellow sweater. That's really all I have to say about that. The guy on the right was awesome. He actually started break dancing in the street. Don't believe me? Check out the video of it here.

We found these guys in a bush. They were just sitting there in a bush. They said it had something to do with the anniversary of falling into a different bush and the dude in the bush seemed really, really happy to be there. (Perhaps he lives in a metaphorical world?) I couldn't be completely sure but it was probably some sort of alcohol in those red cups. I'm just wagering a guess.

Needless to say we had a blast. If you want to check out the full gallery of photos from my trip to the DMB Tailgating madness click here.

Keep checking back because I plan on hitting up even more fun places in the coming months and you never know when you'll be 'Seen on the Scene'...or in this case slightly made fun of by a disembodied head! Cheers!
